Welcome to thewayin.com.au What is it? In a nutshell, it’s a cross-digital and offline treasure hunt – the only way to get tickets to the biggest free party in Aus this year – The Smirnoff Experience Secret Party 2008.
Clues are released on an underground blog, mobile site, Adobe Air App and facebook group. The facebook group, attracted over 300 people on the first day and currently has over 1300 members and is growing fast.
If that’s not enough cyber-fun, there’s also a GPS ticket tracker, which is switched on from time to time. Users get alerted (through an Adobe Air app and on their mobile) which allows them to track the where-abouts of a ticket.
The rules are simple. First to find the tickets, wins the tickets. And there’s none of this ‘hidden under pixels’ stuff. They are hidden in the real world across Australia.
Tickets have been found in places such as under a bench in Surfers Paradise, in a Russian deli in Victoria and even in a Russian Orthodox Church.
This is all in addition to the 'official' on-pack competition, which Amnesia have promoted through the Smirnoff.com.au site, banners and mobile.
